Update to the ESP8266 WeatherStation Color Kit

With the last production batch we secretly updated the ESP8266 WeatherStation Color Kit. First change is the increased size of the custom PCB, which now has the same size as the TFT board. We also added holes and two spacers and female headers so that the TFT board and the custom PCB can be easily separated, in case you want to use it for another project. The spacers help to get a very stable setup.

The following video shows how you can put the kit together

  1. i recently purchased the color weather station and the only part that was confusing was that the through hole for the connector on the display board indicating pin 1 (square pad) was not the same pin 1 (square pad) on the interface board, they are actually opposite ends. I watched the assembly videos to try and verify that I was assembling correctly. I ended up concluding I was correct by following ground and Vcc traces.

  2. Good afternoon, Daniel!
I assembled the station according to your instructions and with your code for ESP8266 WeMos D1 mini. To my great regret, the station does not work correctly. Connecting and receiving data from the Internet is correct. But
weather data is not displayed. Time and information about the chip is represented on the display. Touchscreen works. Tell me please what’s wrong. Tell me where to send the photo, so it was clearer.
    Yours faithfully,
    Vladimir.
