New Layout

More and more, the current layout seemed not to be as convenient as we first thought. The layout looked like it was designed with a mobile device in mind, than running nicely on a desktop. But since it is our long term plan to bring Feederator also to mobile devices, that experience wasn’t in vain and we keep the layout at hand for that time.

But now, let’s talk about the new layout: it is inspired by the GMail layout: on the left you have your folders, in our case the feeds. On the right top you have the feed item list and below the item detail view, which shows you the content of the feed item. It still has the lookup box, that allows you to easily get additional information, currently from Google and ImDB.

This new layout brings Feederator closer to be a feed reader, which might come in handy and attract more users. What do you think? Do you like it?
